Jana Hossam is a passionate individual with an interest in exploring the intersections of psychology, literature, and creative expression. A recipient of the prestigious High Achiever Award during her IGCSE high school education, Jana achieved Top in the World in A-Level Psychology and Top in Africa in O-Level Literature.
This exceptional academic achievement earned her a full scholarship to attend New York University Abu Dhabi, where she double-majored in Psychology and Literature & Creative Writing. Throughout her undergraduate journey, Jana worked as a researcher in collaboration with esteemed professors from NYU, Yale, and other leading universities.
During her junior year, Jana embarked on a remarkable summer experience in New York, working closely with industry professionals on developing a creative resource designed to welcome and guide incoming freshmen through their transition to campus life.
Jana also honed her writing skills as a Content Writer Intern at a mental health startup in the UAE, where she published weekly articles on mental health in the workplace. Her passion for writing extends to the realm of creative expression, as she has published a series of original poetry in an NYU publication for exceptional student work, and even authored a novel under the guidance and supervision of an award-winning author and NYU professor.
